Is this you
- You're an NZ-registered employer who wants to hire, or is already employing, a migrant worker who needs an AEWV
- You need to become an Accredited Employer, or your accreditation is due for renewal
- You have a specific role that needs a Job Check before your worker can apply
- Looking for a job yourself, not hiring — this page is for the employer side of AEWV, not job seekers
How accreditation and Job Check work
Three stages, in order. Processing figures are Immigration New Zealand's published wait times, updated weekly.
Employer Accreditation
Standard Accreditation suits employers wanting up to 5 migrant workers. High Volume is for 6 or more, and comes with closer review of your recruitment and employment practices. First accreditation is valid 12 months; a successful renewal extends the next period to 24 months.
Job Check
Confirms genuine need for the role, meets advertising requirements (unless exempt), and pays at or above the relevant market rate.
Worker's AEWV application
Once accreditation and the Job Check are in place, your worker applies. Speed varies by ANZSCO skill level and industry, and Green List roles are prioritised.
How we help
